To hear this, one would think that, before 2001, we lived in a Shangri-La where the environment was pure, everyone was contented and well-treated, and the US was respected and admired by all. Funny, my recollection is different. But, hey, I am willing to let the Dems have a shot at running things in 08. Of course, I expect the world to be returned immediately to an idyllic state with no loss of life and no tax increases. Given the high standards expected of the current government, and the left's withering criticism of same, I think it reasonable to expect this. Don't you?
