[T]he documents, coming after the Bush administration's confirmation that President Bush had authorized domestic anti-terrorism spying without warrants, prompted charges from civil rights advocates that the government had improperly blurred the line between terrorism and acts of civil disobedience and lawful protest.Meanwhile, WaPo has Dubya's approval numbers back up to 47%.
One FBI document indicates that agents in Indianapolis planned to conduct surveillance as part of a "Vegan Community Project." Another document talks of the Catholic Workers group's "semi-communistic ideology." Read my email to you dude, the spying, albeit awfully sketchy, may actually be legal. One good counterarg is that FISA would permit it, provided that you got a warrant eventually. That factoid, if true, would, IMHO, scuttle the Hahvahd Law types residing at Main Justice. Stay tuned.
Oh, and Dick Morris after a cruise? - LOL!!!
