For months, senators have listened to a parade of well-coached Justice Department witnesses claiming to know nothing about how nine prosecutors were chosen for firing. This week, it was the turn of Bradley Schlozman, a former federal attorney in Missouri, to be uninformative and not credible. It is time for Senator Patrick Leahy, the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, to deliver subpoenas that have been approved for Karl Rove, former White House counsel Harriet Miers and their top aides, and to make them testify in public and under oath. And to think I was, like, jumping the gun. Tsk!
Hmm... A gun. That might work.

Nope, can't do it. You liberals are against guns, remember? Besides, where you gonna find one in Washington?
(of course, you can always ask a former mayor)
Commander Guy
this *progressive*, chuckles, has fired, in his lifetime, a .38, a .45, an M-16 automatic, and an 88-milimeter howitzer...
top that... !!
oh, also an M-72 light anti-tank weapon, and an M224 mortar, from which i have a loss-of-hearing in my right ear, thank you very much...
oh, i've also thrown a live M67 fragmentation hand grenade, with which i blew up a russian silhouette...
Good times. Beats the hell out of the Dead Squash Hunts I went on with members of the Mass. Natural Guard (most of whom I would not trust with weapons and drink at the same time).
Got any of that ordinance left? Sounds like the makings of a good party, Hunter Thompson style.
Commander (still a pretty good shot) Guy.
We should go shooting sometime. I promise not to channel Dick Cheney.
Will bring a couple of .22 long rifles, a .38 and a 9mm. Want anything heavier, you gotta provide it (I may be pro2A, but I have better things to do with my money).
Commander Guy.
