Hey, as long as its fair, and we get to round up the leftists and summarily execute them for eroding our rights and mortgaging our future all these years.
Let the revolution begin while the powder is still dry. Or at least let's put some teeth back into the 10th Amendment and devolve more authority to the states. Balkanization! We need it now!

i believe, oh lawyer, that "prosecution" falls under the purview of "trial"...
gop is into "persecution"... although, not being a lawyer, i understand your confusion...
and prosecution and trial require a "crime." Now, under current law and SCOTUS precedent, the only crime one can be prosecuted and executed for is first degree murder. That is, unless a junta takes over and rewrites the law to expand capital crimes and makes the law retroactive (kinda like the Congress just did with certain energy taxes this week--made them retroactive to before 2004. I expect a court challenge if it gets into law).
But I digress. I am sure your side can make out a case for first degree murder against republicans (like me). I expect a recitation of the elements in your reply.
and as for Google, I don't see what the excitement is. They are trying to spur development of a product that can hopefully be produced economically. That is a win for Google, which will certainly retain rights to the project (insuring them a nice return on that investment), and a win for our economy if it means production here of new, efficient cars. Fact is, this sort of business incubation goes on all the time, and in many forms. Furthermore, if Sergey Brin wants to take a flyer with the cash, well, its his cash. At least it is being put to productive use, rather than going to government.
That is something a Republican can get behind, you know.
