day two, anno domini...

There was a period o'er the last coupla days when I thought it wouldn't stop snowing. Heavy fall with many inches. The sky seemed blanketed as the ground, an almost mystical, insular universe of gray and white. Small coastal towns in the corner of the universe lend their own ambiance to the sense. Time could very well have stood still.

Today the sky is cloudless. The sun is setting as it does so early this time of year, and the contrasting light and shadows are akin to what might have inspired Edward Hopper to his particular greatness. I am filled with fear and wonder and know not what to do with the conflicting emotions as they can oft times paralyze.

And so I sit quietly in the Little Dog Coffee Shop, appreciating the decaf "Little Dog Blend" and the cost-free wifi. Some places are better to be than others.

can u send a little of that snow my way??? I'm a girl who likes to experience all 4 seasons, and it's just not working out for me here.

there was a dusting tuesday night, but that's been it so far this winter. Although, I'd hardly call it winter in Ky this year.

Sure, it's hella cold out now ... but weather.com is calling for 70 degrees on Tuesday!!! Damn global warming!!
