go starve yourself...

Corn syrup, found in nearly all processed foods here in America, is a good source of mercury -- Mm-mmm! -- courtesy of your heckuva-job Bushie FDA.
"Mercury is toxic in all its forms," said IATP's David Wallinga, M.D., and a co-author in both studies. "Given how much high fructose corn syrup is consumed by children, it could be a significant additional source of mercury never before considered. We are calling for immediate changes by industry and the FDA to help stop this avoidable mercury contamination of the food supply."
Please pass the Soylent Green.

You mean that high fructose corn syrup, which has been around, like, forever, was changed in the last 8 years to add mercury????

Maybe you should be blaming Bush for thimerosal. After all, it must have only developed mercury since 2000, right?

And lets not forget those bank regulators---seems that when they were strong-arming banks into subprime lending in 1999 and 2000 were doing so at Bush' behest, even though he wasn't president yet, or even the nominee. Obviously a GOP conspiracy. Maybe they brainwashed Dodd and Frank. I mean, how can democratic icons have supported subprime and blocked GSE reform if they weren't brainwashed, right???

BTW, I avoid HFCS, not because it has mercury, but because it makes your ass fat.

the story doesn't say mercury came on the corn syrup scene during the bush years... my inference, however, is the bushie fda discovered the situation and did nothing about it...

par for the course...

and it's mighty difficult avoiding corn syrup in pretty much everything -- like bread (as in "man does not live on . . . alone")... what, you bake your own every day... ?

as the latter point, we really need to get iowa off the lead in our primaries... their only agenda is pushing corn in our food and in our gas tanks...

nuke iowa...
