Looks like the Sox will be replacing Centerfield Jesus with a breakfast cereal. Underheralded here, as Sox fans are used to shortstops who can mash, is the impending signing of Alex Gonzalez:
“He’s one of the best in the business,” McKeon said. “The guy’s a vacuum cleaner. He’s a magician. He can make that (double play) coming across the bag like no one you’ve ever seen. I’ve had a lot of great shortstops play for me but this guy was right up there with the best. He should have won a Gold Glove every year but he doesn’t have the charisma that others have and he doesn’t sell himself. But Boston will love him.”

Before we won the WS, I toyed with the idea of a bounty on the Yankees, and hit on starting a trust fund that RSN citizens could contribute to, and the fund would pay out to the players on a team that won the WS. Sort of a reward, dead or alive, for the Yankees since our winning means they don't.

I will need co-trustees - interested?
