Careful what you wish for, you just might get it. The votes and history are not there for a "Borking", but should the Dems to filibuster a nominee that received the highest approval rating from the left-of-center ABA, and who is, by all accounts, a distinguished jurist, it will set the bar uncomfortably high for the next democratic nominee. Thus, we wind up with unheralded, mediocre Harold Carswells, rather than esteemed jurists.
